Loss, Damage, Delay or
Misdelivery
Your orders
are shipped and handled on secured transportation mode. For
shipping within the U.S. and Canada, the liability of the
shipping and handling agent (the Agent) for loss, damage, delay,
misdelivery or nondelivery is limited to US$100/- unless
additional insurance policy is taken against the declared value of the
shipment on your specific instructions.
For
international shipments by surface or air the liability of the
Agent for damage, loss, delay, misdelivery and nondelivery may
be limited by certain international treaties including the
Warsaw Convention, typically to $9.07 per pound unless a higher
value is declared and an extra charge paid.

Import Taxes
Your government may tax merchandise shipments from the U.S. in the form
of Duty Taxes and/or Value Added Taxes, also called Import Taxes. Import
Taxes are based on the type and value of the merchandise. Import Tax
rates vary from country to country, you should contact your local
customs office for exact rates.
Declared Value
When merchandise is shipped internationally, it must include a
Commercial Invoice (Access USA prepares the Commercial Invoice for its
Members). The Commercial Invoice provides information on the type and
value of the merchandise being shipped.
The value (Declared Value) of the merchandise is usually what you paid
(the Retail Price) for the merchandise. However, you are only required
to declare a value equal to or greater than the Wholesale Price (the
cost to produce the item). The Wholesale Price is usually 50% to 60%
less than the Retail Price.
We automatically insure your Merchandise for the Declared Value. So, if
you select Wholesale Price, we can not Insure your Merchandise for the
Retail Price.
Insurance
Insurance guarantees the Insured Value of your merchandise against
damage, theft or loss during delivery. Unless otherwise instructed, we
will insure your delivery for the Declared Value (see above).
Insurance rates are $3.00 per $100.00 of value insured.
